With talk of a Santa Fe merger still fresh in the air, Tunnel Motor #8286 in Merger "Kodachrome" paintscheme idles at La Patera with another Tunnel Motor and a six axle GE unit. In 2003, the lumber yard at La Patera is the only switching job left in southern Santa Barbara County, and is now served by the Oxnard Switcher.
